CADETS BRING HOME THE GOLD! “Air Cadets from 460 Dunstable Squadron recently took part in the annual Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing Athletics Championship and collected OVER 20 individual medals and 2 team trophies. The competition, between 30 Air Cadet squadrons with more than 300 Cadets from all over Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire taking part was held at Athletics Stadium in Cambridge. The day started off on a High at 06:50 in the morning. 3 Members of staff and a lot of cadets were gathered outside the squadron waiting to win the day. After we left the squadron on route to Bedford the music was turned up to the maximum volume and spirits were still high where we met the CO as he drove into the petrol station on the A6 with a cup of tea in his hand. Though out the day the rain came down and cadets and staff members got wet the spirits were still high and the fun still continued. At the end of the day the finial parade took place thinking that we had done very well. And we did. We came away from the days events with the junior boys trophy, the overall girls trophy and what surprised us all was we came 2nd overall out of the whole competition.
