Dunstable Air Cadets on hand to help Macmillan Cancer Support Last Sunday Air Cadets from 460 (Dunstable) Squadron lent a helping hand to Macmillan Cancer Support for their “Woodland Walk 2009” fundraising event. Macmillan Cancer Support saw over 300 sponsored walkers arrive at the historic Shuttleworth Collection in Old Warden, Biggleswade for a walk through the surrounding woodlands on either a 4.5 or 8 mile circular route, passing through the beautiful countrywide, ancient woodlands and picturesque villages. Julia Beales, fundraising manager of Macmillan Beds & Cambs division said: “The Air Cadets did a fantastic job, and I’m sure the walkers really appreciated the cadets’ support”. Air Cadets were positioned at waypoints along the route to offer encouragement and to hand out bottles of water to the grateful walkers.
